Spring 2025 Application
Marshall Case Team is looking to recruit sophomores, juniors, and seniors with an interest in finance, consulting, and casing to join our team and compete in international case competitions.
Students looking to be part of the Marshall Case Team for Spring 2025 will need to participate in the MICC Challenger (detailed below), which will also act as a “tryout” for the team.
Next semester, our competitions will include fully-paid travel to international competitions for competing members.
MICC Challenger
We will be hosting an internal competition on January 25, 2025, with the winning team representing USC Marshall at the 2025 Marshall International Case Competition as well as receiving a $1000 team award.
Each team MUST consist of 4 current undergraduate USC students (students MUST be enrolled in undergraduate courses for the Spring 2025 semester). Students should be at least Sophomores, although we will allow 2 Freshman per team (register them in slot 3 & 4). Students may be any major.
If you do not have a team you can sign-up as a single entrant, where you will be randomly assigned to a team.
Application
The Competition will be Saturday, January 25th (preliminaries in the morning, finals in the afternoon) in Fertitta Hall. The Case will be provided to teams (via e-mail) on January 19th.
We will hold an info session on the afternoon of Friday, January 17th (1:00 - 2:00 pm, Location TBD)- only 1 person per team is required to attend, but the whole team can attend).
Teams will be randomly placed into different competing brackets on the morning of January 19th (at which time the presentation times and locations will be e-mailed to the teams). All teams will present on the morning of the 25th. 1 Team will be selected from each bracket to present in the afternoon of January 25th. The winning team will then be selected from the final presentations as judged by the judges.
The winning team (as selected by the judges) will represent USC Marshall at the 2023 Marshall International Case Competition. They will also win a $1000 cash prize to be split amongst the participants. They will be expected to attend the Marshall Case Team practices each Friday afternoon 2-5 pm (January 31st, February 6th, and February 13th). The winning team will also be expected to participate in all events of the MICC (fees will be covered by Marshall) the week of February 17th-23rd, 2025. If the winning team is unable to follow through on its duties, it will be disqualified, and the runner-up team will be selected.
Students who do not make it to MICC Challenger finals or are not selected at the winners are may still be invite to join the Marshall Case Team.
